The Work Shop

In the Work Shop, youth and young adults  are introduced to  new skills and career fields through interactive, hands-on projects. Working individually or in teams, participants build or design something that addresses a real-world workplace situation or problem.

Each 3 to 8 hour project challenges them to clarify the goals of the project, find and use relevant information online or from professional mentors, manage the project development process, create something (such as a model, video, spreadsheet, new product, design or plan), and present their final project for feedback.

Projects will be determined by participant interest and the availability of mentors, time and facilities.  Project examples are available here…
