Net Work Louisville works with employers, organizations, agencies and individuals committed to preparing our community’s disconnected youth and young adults for 21st century careers.
Professional organizations and individuals help define the knowledge and skills needed to enter their field and identify career advancement opportunities that provide a path to independence for young people. Professional groups also help recruit mentors to work directly with teams of youth and young adults on a project related to their career field.
Businesses and public agencies employ Net Work participants in internships, pre-apprentice positions and other entry-level jobs. Employers provide opportunities for youth to advance on a career pathway whenever possible and connect them with a community organization for support whenever necessary.
Community service organizations assisting disconnected youth and young adults with a wide range of services provide on-going support to Net Work participants. The Coalition Supporting Young Adults, a network of dozens of community organizations and agencies, is a key partner in this effort.
The Emerging Workforce Initiative, a nonprofit organization, developed the Net Work Learning Center and coordinates Net Work partnerships. More information on the Initiative…
